Ultimate Staffing is actively seeking a skilled Commercial Loan Processor for a temporary assignment at a reputable 60-year-old local credit union that is member-focused. The position is located in California and requires a dedicated individual to join the team from September 7, 2026, through November 15, 2026.
Position Overview:
The primary role of the Commercial Loan Processor is to coordinate all activities related to the packaging and documentation of loan files while facilitating the funding of loan transactions. The individual will prepare loan application packages for review and final underwriting by the 1st VP Member Business Lending and AVP Credit Manager. Upon loan approval, the candidate will prepare loan documents for loan closing, provide support to the loan origination staff, and work under minimal supervision.

- Pay Rate: $25 - $30 per hour
- Work Hours: Monday - Friday, starting at 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Location: 100% onsite in Scripps Ranch
Responsibilities:
- Review loan files upon receipt, prepare needs list, and ensure receipt of all documentation necessary for underwriting.
- Confirm that borrower's information on the documents is complete.
- Track orders for appraisals, title commitments, phase 1 environmental reports, operating statements, credit reports, and any other required documents.
- Prepare loan documents and forward them to escrow for closing.
- Review preliminary title reports and work with the title account officer to resolve any issues.
- Manage the loan process to meet closing timeline expectations and requirements.
- Complete review of executed loan documents; disburse loan proceeds and prepare boarding sheets. Audit files for documentation completeness, accuracy, and disbursement of fees.
- Follow up with the Loan Officer, broker, or member as required for file completion.
- Prepare loan status reports and documents as required.
- Coordinate processing and funding activities with respective internal departments to ensure efficient loan closing and timing.
- Forward electronic and physical files to the Commercial Loan Servicer.
- Answer member and non-member phone calls.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of and comply with all departmental and security policies and procedures, as well as federal regulations applicable to the position, including BSA requirements. Complete all required compliance training as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent is required
- Experience: A minimum of three years of Commercial Real Estate loan processing and funding experience is required. Experience in real estate originations, servicing, and/or closing may substitute for the commercial processing experience. Community banking experience and knowledge of SBA 7(a) and 504 loans are helpful.
- Software: Must possess strong computer skills with intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. Experience with LaserPro, including LaserPro SBA, Servicing Director, and Symitar is preferred.
